Manor Gardens is a thriving community health centre which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2013. Our core services include a Pre-school, Health Advocacy Project, Stroke Project, Friendship Phone Network, Community Kitchens Project, and Mental Wellbeing project.
In addition to this, we have now set up a Heritage Learning Centre, supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund. The volunteer led project ran until July 2014:
- created a digital learning centre, based around this website
- conducted an oral history project of people who have been involved in the centre
- created an exhibition on the history of the centre, which can be visited 9 to 5 during the week.
